There has been 14 replies on this topic and not one of them has anything to do with the original post. I think its time some of you had some respect for the other people posting on this forum and save all your bullshit for the school playground. I have now deleted all non related replies and will continue to do so throughout the forum.

My post on this thread related to Sokin's as he'd clearly been misunderstood by a couple of people.

I thought I might "tough it out" with the high-handed, dictatorial attitude of the owner and his (new) moderators but I've had enough.

I shall soon be LivingInCrete permanently.

the hermes hotel is lovely. we went there last year to receive our diplomas for completing our greek language courses,and later in the year some friends of ours stayed there.

Sokin has answered the question about the book! This promotion has been organised by the Dimos. Victoria broke her leg playing tennis recently and this is the answer we received from our contacts when we emailed last week to check that the event would, in fact, be taking place:-

" The broken leg had caused her to delay any traveling until next week when she will be heading out to Crete - I think she travels on the 12th.  There will be all kinds of festivities involving the mayor, numerous journalists, a boat being chartered to take everyone over to 'The Island' etc. etc."

As far as I know, only the Hermes event is actually open to the general public, but if I hear anything to the contrary I will post it here.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the closing of the leper colony. Another event in connection with this is planned for later in the season and I will publish details as soon as dates, etc. have been finalised. Watch this space and also the INCO News website at http://www.inconews.com

Thanx for  deleating my post when i was actually sticking up for sokin (nikos)

I actually know nikos personally and know he is a genuine person (and greek) and i believe he is very good to post on these forums and help people with enquiries as he has  much knowledge in many things(being greek himself)

Yes he may not be fab at typing english, but i am sure he is a darn site better than many brits can type greek!  

And just so it has something to do with the original post!

Is it possible to get the book in the uk?

A quick update. There are also additional promotional events at the Blue Palace at Plaka on 16th & 17th but I have been told that they are by invitation only.
