Litre and a half of  the beautiful  red wine on offer for 2-19 a bottle,  handy to get a few bottles ready for summer.

Kilo bag of  pollock fillets  2-99,  a nice fish to eat with home made batter.

Chicken legs and thighs 3-99 per pack,  I counted five or six in a pack,  Makro sells 12 in a pack for  6-99.

XXL white bread,  usually  priced at 1-99,  now  1-49. This bread is nice ,  freeze it and it is still nice.

Buy the  30 % offers,  they have  a few days left on the pack,  freeze the bargains for up to  3 months only.

When buying  flour  there,  always go for the blue packs  of  all purpose flour,  the self  raising flour is no good as you  have to add baking powder,  which is also no good as I have had many  a bad experience with the baking powder and self  raising flour,  you cannot go wrong with the  all purpose flour.

Lidle have  whole fresh chickens on offer , 3-89 each so a couple of  euro`s cheaper than normal.

I noticed sachets of drain cleaner powder there today,  I  think there are four packs for  2-89.

Not  many bargains  in  the stores this week,  and not many customers about either for a Thursday.

Thanks for the link, Christine. I guess most of us visit Lidl at some time or another, so see their current offers in our local stores. It may be worth mentioning that not all stores will have the same items available, though. The Sitia branch has no licence to sell "fresh" meat - frozen or packaged stuff like sausages & bacon and delicatessan type products only.

I posted the link to save people having to go hunting for special offers when they could check them out on the website.
the same applies for all the other stores here like Praktiker, Carrefour/ Marianopolis etc.
you can compare prices and save on petrol and time  Smiley

I have had the link in my favourites for the last six years and check it twice weekly Roll Eyes

I have acquired many household items, gardening tools and toys for my great nephews by using it. My friends get them for me leaving them ready in the house when I am over. I've probably saved a fortune in shipping costs as well as benefitting from the reasonable prices in the process too. It is interesting to compare the same product costs in my local UK store. The Greek prices are often substantially higher.

Keep up the good works everyone, all bargains are always welcome whoever posts them, I find some times withe Lidl that there are times when published bargains I.E. none foodstuffs are not available for whatever reason, but to be fair, it is few and far between.

Time  for me to  bow  out  now, I do not  do  competiveness, and  do  not  compare myself  to  an  intrnet  idiot who  follows  all my posts  in here.

I tried to  post  bargains  to  help  others,  I came  here for  a good time   not  a  hard time ,  the  hardest  time  was  getting  in to  this forum and  trying to  integrate with  everyone,  trying to  help  others  is my vocation in life.

It is  such a shame   the site  has  reached  the opposite level ,  of  what  it  was intended for  in the first place .

Appologies  for  enjoying  my  " illegal  goods ",  ffs  you  silly  sods,  tax  is  paid in  UK,  then  you  got  flight tax,  I despare,  .

Ex mayor in Thessaloniki,  he and  seven others  accused  o f  embezalling 53 billion  euros , BILLION .... And  the  small folks   are condemmed  for  buying  decent  goods   over  here,  which are taxed  already  in the UK.

Just  because  others  have  a good  supplier of  items we miss in the UK,  and  the supplier can get  anything we miss and  need we are condemmed for  buying the  goods.

The  whole  of Greece is  a  turmoile  of  corruption,  the ethnic  shops   get  the  goods  over here and charge  triple  the  price,  no reciept to  produce to the tax man,  all evading tax.

Sorry Binx, but The British Shop in Agios Nikolaos (which I recommend) always, without fail, give receipts!

Please do not tar everyone with the same brush.
